About Me

The focus of "Filming up to Boston" is...well, pretty obvious: Boston movies and TV shows. Using interviews with people from the Boston area as well as people responsible for the production of said Boston movies, the goal is to get into how accurately these films and shows are able to depict Boston and if any inaccuracies are deemed as okay. With rumors and news coming out more and more on the potential production of a Whitey Bulger movie, you better believe that we're going to be sticking our nose into that one too.

ABOUT THE BLOGGER:

My name is Casey McDonnell and I am a student at Endicott College. I used to live just outside of Boston and currently visit any chance I get. From the tradition and legacy of Fenway Park to the Charles River to the weekend fruit markets, everything about Boston is downright perfect to me. I love Boston and, more importantly, the tradition and attitude it stands for.

I come from a big Irish family. To us, tradition and being proud of who you are where you're from is a big deal. This tradition and pride in Boston, to me, finds a way to express itself in every movie, show, and portrayal of Boston. That's what gets me into these kind of movies and shows and, more importantly, that's what inspired me to get this blog up and running.
